At this time, no, it isn't possible.  I can see about adding a "text" x-axis, but I'm not sure it would be possible with the y-axis at all.  The underlying plotting engine isn't particularly advanced or feature-rich.

I want to use dates for one of the Axis values on a plot but the "add_dataset" doesn't support dates. Is there anyway to achieve this?
