I wasn't aware of a current major bug such as your describing, but there are a few things you can try. Open the Editor Options dialog from the Options menu. Uncheck the following:

Syntax Checking
Autocomplete

Now try opening your Fortran file.

Newbie crash problems.

Just downloaded Simply Fortran (V1.35) to compile a model to which I made a tiny little tweak. Whenever I try to open the fortran file, I get an immediate "An unhandled win32 exception occurred in fwin.exe" error. This same crash occurs if I open the sample "hello world" project and then try to open the associated fortran file...

Any help would be appreciated!
