Version 1.18 is now available.  The new version should hopefully fix the stability issues you had been experiencing.

There are some suspected issues with the indexing and outline engines within the IDE.  We're working to eliminate the last of the problems, hence why version 1.18 hasn't yet been released.

It is always fwin.exe that dies on me.
I haven't noticed any pattern about when this occurs.
