It could be possible.  The (minor) issue is that the target name within the project is set prior to saving the project.  For "New Project" cases, this could be worked around.  Long story short, it's harder to do this than it might seem.  I will look into doing it, though.

So for a project named helloworld the target would be set to helloworld.exe initially.
