When you say you're "KILLing" a run, what exactly do you mean? Are you referring to using Simply Fortran's Terminate button/menu option?

Under some specific circumstances, Simply Fortran cannot kill processes it started. In these cases, it will not provide any indication that it has failed to do so, however. Usually the "Permission Denied" error is caused by the executable continuing to run even after Simply Fortran attempted to kill it unsuccessfully. Usually it can be found in the Windows Task Manager and killed that way.

Often times these program that fail to end are due to some problematic code, normally related to either infinite input/output or memory overruns.

Just occasionally, after KILLing a run, the next BUILD stops because the old .exe file can't be deleted. Permission denied. Checking the file's properties security details, [Current owner] "Unable to display current owner." and neither administrator can be invoked as owner. The file somehow gets fixed if I reboot, which is a rather drastic cure.
