			<title><![CDATA[Debian 9 "Stretch" and Simply Fortran]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>While not exactly a bug, users will encounter a failed dependency when installing Simply Fortran on GNU/Linux distributions based on Debian 9 &quot;Stretch.&quot;&nbsp; The Debian project has renamed their <em>libssl</em> package such that it no longer matches the name in Debian 8 or Ubuntu.</p><p>In order to install Simply Fortran on Debian 9, users will need to download and install the Debian 8 <em>libssl</em> package:</p><p><a href="https://packages.debian.org/jessie/libssl1.0.0">https://packages.debian.org/jessie/libssl1.0.0</a></p><p>Debian files for each architecture are available at the bottom of the page linked above.</p><p>Installing this package will not cause any conflicts, and other commercial software is suggesting this same fix.</p><p>We do not have plans to change our dependency at this time as we are prioritizing compatibility with Ubuntu.</p>]]></description>
