Topic: Virus found in version 2.6 installation.

It is weird that my virus softeware AVG caught a virus when I was installing version 2.6 on my win7/64bit machine. and it also says "Error reading from file: c:\program files(x86)\Simply Fortran 2\mingw-w64\x86_64-w64-mingw32\lib32\libgcc_s_sjlj-1.dll. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it."

Can someone advice? Thanks!

Jige,

I just responded to you via email.  Is AVG claiming that libgcc_s_sjlj-1.dll contains a virus?  If so, that might explain why you're seeing an error saying you cannot access it. 

Simply Fortran has been deemed safe by multiple independent sources.  There are no known viruses contained within the installer.

Speaking with Jige via email, it seems that Simply Fortran is no longer being flagged as containing a virus by AVG.  It may have just required a virus definition file update.
