Problem Installing v4.0 while keeping v3.41

I tried installing v4.0 without uninstalling v3.41. It initially appeared to work but I could not find any of the files for v4.0. When I tried uninstalling I could only find v3.41. If I reinstall v3.41 will it be possible to have both 3.41 and v4.0 installed without a conflict?
