Topic: Interoperability with C

Interoperability with C is part of the fortran 2003 standard. I don't know any C at the moment. Simply Fortran comes with a C  Compiler. I know that Simply Fortran is designed especially for fortran. To use fortran 2003 FULLY , I need to know some C.

Can I use Simply Fortran in its basic form to learn some C ?

Re: Interoperability with C

Yes, you can use Simply Fortran to compile C without any problem.  If you add a C file to a project rather than a Fortran file, Simply Fortran will know how to handle it.  You can even mix Fortran and C in the same project without any issues.

I don't know how many users are working with C directly in Simply Fortran.   I know I do regularly since the bulk of Simply Fortran is written in C, and Simply Fortran is used to write Simply Fortran.
