Topic: How to launch the program

As a 30+ year veteran of FORTRAN, I'm thrilled to give Simply Fortran a try!  Unfortunately, when it installed there was no shortcut created on my desktop.  As such, I have a directory full of things and no idea what to click to start the program.

The help pages unfortunately begin with "When Simply Fortran first starts..." but I am looking for the step BEFORE that.  What executable should I shortcut to/double click on, to make the program launch?

Re: How to launch the program

There should be an entry in your Start menu or Start screen (depending on the version of Windows) under Simply Fortran 2 to launch Simply Fortran.

If you'd prefer, you can also launch it from its installed directory.  The default would be at:

C:\Program Files\Simply Fortran 2\fwin\fwin.exe

or

C:\Program Files (x86)\Simply Fortran 2\fwin\fwin.exe

again, depending on your version of Windows.

Sorry for any confusion!

Re: How to launch the program

If you want to create a Desktop shortcut you can browse for the executable.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Simply Fortran 2\fwin\fwin.exe

Then right click and select "Send to" then "Desktop (create shortcut)"
