Topic: delete a project?

I have just downloaded the software and it looks great!  Thanks....   I have experimented a bit with building projects and now would like to delete them; a housekeeping thing.  I can't find in the help section how to do that.  Is it as simple as deleting the project directory?

Yes, you can simply delete the directory or just the project file itself when you're done with it.  The project will still appear as a "Recent Project," but it will no longer be on disk.  As you create more projects, these old entries will disappear from the menu and "Select New Project" window.
