How do I configure the Project so that my .FOR file opens in a tab in the interface ? As it is, I always have to double-click on the file to get it to appear for editing.

The Simply Fortran environment doesn't currently have the ability to auto-open a file when a project is loaded.  You'll need to double-click on the file every time after opening the project.  Is this a feature addition that people would be interested in?

I'm switching to Simply from another program, and that one auto-opened the files. I thought is was a nice feature. Not a big deal, but it would be nice.

MY COMMENT

I would very much like to see source files auto-open, but not all of them.
My preference would be for:

- the source file tabs that were open on exit
   to re-open at re-start;

- for the file tab that was the current selection
   on exit, to pop to the front on re-start;

- the cursor position on exit to be resumed
   at restart.

Re: Auto-opening source file tabs

I think that the auto-open option is a good idea.  I plan on implementing it such that the same tabs will open when the project is loaded.  As for advancing to the previous position, it is possible.

Is this still on the cards?  I don't think it has been implemented as yet.
